White Chocolate Pistachio Cinnamon Rolls

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup pistachios, chopped
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Combine warm milk and yeast in a bowl; let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Mix all-purpose flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Pour the activated yeast mixture into the dry ingredients, add melted butter and egg, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Roll the dough into a large rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  7. Spread melted white chocolate over the dough, then sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped pistachios.
  8. Roll the dough tightly, slice into equal portions, and place in a greased baking dish.
  9. Cover and let the rolls rise for 30 minutes.
  10. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Double the batch to freeze for later. Use high-quality white chocolate for a creamier filling.
