Sparkling Sugared Cranberries

A delightful and dazzling treat that combines tart cranberries with a sweet sugar coating, perfect for holiday gatherings.

  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup water

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine ½ cup of sugar and ½ cup of water over medium heat. Stir gently until the sugar dissolves completely, creating a sweet syrup.
  2. Add the fresh cranberries to the warm syrup, gently stirring to ensure they are fully coated. Allow them to sit in the syrup for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Transfer the cranberries onto a wire rack and let them dry for about 1 hour.
  4. Roll the dried cranberries in 1 cup of granulated sugar until they are evenly coated. Let them dry for another hour before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider infusing the syrup with vanilla or orange zest. Let cranberries dry completely for the best coating.
