Lebanese Kafta Kebabs

Succulent skewers of seasoned ground beef with aromatic spices and fresh herbs, perfect for grilling and sharing.

Ingredients

  • 600 grams lean ground beef
  • 1 medium yellow onion, quartered
  • 1 cup fresh parsley, washed and patted dry
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon seven spice blend
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Chop the Vegetables: Place the quartered onion and fresh parsley into a food processor and pulse until finely chopped.
  2. Mix the Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the lean ground beef with the chopped parsley-onion mixture and all the spices. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Shape the Kebabs: Take a handful of the meat mixture and press it around skewers, about 1 to 1.5 inches thick.
  4. Grill the Kebabs: Preheat the grill to medium-high, grill the kebabs for about 4 minutes on each side until cooked through and charred.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a dash of allspice or sumac to the meat. Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
