A show-stopping roast turkey breast recipe that guarantees a succulent, tender centerpiece for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 whole bone-in turkey breast
  • 2 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 stick unsalted butter (at room temperature)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Rinse the turkey breast under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, combine kosher salt and black pepper. Season the turkey breast inside and out.
  4. Melt the unsalted butter and mix in the minced garlic, rosemary, and thyme. Massage this mixture under the turkey skin.
  5. Place the seasoned turkey breast in a roasting pan, bone-side down, and roast for about 90 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  6. Once cooked, let the turkey rest for at least 20 minutes before carving.

Notes

For enhanced moisture and flavor, consider brining the turkey. Letting it sit uncovered in the fridge before roasting can make the skin extra crisp.
