Jalapeño Peach Hasselback Sausage

A tantalizing dish featuring juicy kielbasa sausages infused with sweet peaches and spicy jalapeños, layered beautifully for a stunning presentation.

  • 2 rings kielbasa (14 ounces each)
  • 4 medium jalapeño peppers (thinly sliced)
  • 6 yellow peaches (pitted and sliced)
  • 1 cup peach preserves
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a large sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. To create the hasselback effect, place each kielbasa ring between two chopsticks or skewers and make vertical slits about 1/4 inch apart.
  3. Arrange the slashed kielbasa on the prepared sheet pan and bake for 20 minutes.
  4. While the kielbasa is baking, combine peach preserves, olive oil, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, kosher salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes in a medium bowl to create the glaze.
  5. After 20 minutes, remove the pan from the oven, scatter the jalapeños and peaches around the kielbasa, and brush with half of the glaze.
  6. Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  7. Baste with the remaining glaze and cook for another 10-15 minutes until everything is infused with flavor.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

For extra smokiness, consider grilling the kielbasa instead of baking.
