  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches with 1/4 cup granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Mix well.
  3. Transfer the peach mixture into a 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, 1 cup granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Slowly add the milk to the flour mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter over the peaches, ensuring even coverage.
  7. Drizzle melted butter over the batter.
  8. Bake for 35-45 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool before serving.

Notes
