Easy Meringue Cookies

  • 4 large egg whites (room temperature)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a clean mixing bowl, beat the egg whites on medium speed until frothy.
  3. Gradually add the sugar while whisking and continue beating until soft peaks form.
  4. Gently fold in the vanilla extract, salt, and cornstarch.
  5. Create small mounds on the baking sheets using a spoon or piping bag.
  6. Bake for 1 to 1.5 hours until crispy on the outside.
  7. Turn off the oven and let the cookies cool completely inside.

Notes

For added stability, consider adding cream of tartar during the whipping process. Dip the bottoms in melted chocolate for added flavor.
