Easter Blossom Cookies

Delightful, colorful cookies that celebrate Easter with a soft texture and sweet buttery flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Food coloring (pastel shades)
  • Sugar sprinkles or colored sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then mix in the vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt, then gradually combine with the wet mixture until a dough forms.
  5. Divide the dough and add food coloring, mixing until desired hues are achieved.
  6. Roll small balls of dough, coat in sugar sprinkles, and arrange on prepared baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden and centers are soft.
  8. Allow to cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Consider adding chocolate chips or mini candies for extra sweetness. Store in an airtight container to maintain texture.
