Cranberry Orange Layered Trifle

A delightful dessert that combines tangy cranberries and zesty oranges with creamy whipped cream and vanilla pudding, layered beautifully for a festive treat.

  • 1 package ladyfingers (24 pieces)
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • Zest of 2 oranges
  • 2 cups whipped cream (sweetened)
  • 1 box vanilla pudding mix (3.4 oz)
  • 2 cups whole milk (or almond milk for dairy-free option)
  • 2 fresh oranges (sliced)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pudding by whisking together the vanilla pudding mix with the milk until smooth and chilling for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form and gradually add sugar until stiff peaks are achieved.
  3. Layer ladyfingers at the bottom of a trifle dish.
  4. Spoon half of the cranberry sauce over the ladyfingers.
  5. Add half of the pudding mixture on top and sprinkle with orange zest.
  6. Repeat layering with remaining ladyfingers, cranberry sauce, and pudding.
  7. Top with whipped cream and garnish with orange slices.
  8. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

Customize flavors by adding cinnamon to pudding or try different fruits for variety. Store tightly covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
