Cotton Candy Cupcakes

Delightful cupcakes that capture the whimsical essence of cotton candy for a fun treat at any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp cotton candy flavoring
  • Cotton candy topping (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with colorful paper liners.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream together the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the whole milk until smooth.
  5. Stir in the cotton candy flavoring.
  6. Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with the batter.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow cupcakes to cool completely, then decorate with cotton candy topping.
