Classic Apple Crumble

A delightful dessert with warm, spiced baked apples and a crispy, crumbly topping that everyone loves.

  • 6 cups sliced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine sliced apples with lemon juice, cinnamon, and sugar. Toss gently and spread in a greased baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour, oats, brown sugar, and softened butter until crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle the oat crumble mixture over the apples evenly.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
  6. Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.
