Cheesy and Creamy Broccoli Pasta

A comforting and flavorful pasta dish combining creamy sauces, tender pasta, and fresh broccoli, perfect for any occasion.

  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Yellow Onion (diced)
  • 500 g Fresh Broccoli (chopped into florets)
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 cups Heavy Cream
  • 8 oz Mozzarella Cheese (shredded)
  • 8 oz Parmesan Cheese (grated)
  • 1/2 cup Pasta water (reserved)
  • 16 oz Ditalini Pasta

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter and olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and diced onion, sautéing until translucent (5-7 minutes).
  3. Stir in chopped broccoli and sauté for another 5 minutes.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, then add mozzarella cheese and stir until melted.
  5. Cook ditalini pasta according to package instructions, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  6. Combine cooked pasta with the broccoli and sauce, gradually adding reserved pasta water.
  7. Top with grated parmesan and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra creaminess, adjust the amount of heavy cream. Reserve pasta water for the best sauce consistency.
