Cheesy Christmas Tree Pull Apart Bread

A delightful pull-apart bread filled with gooey mozzarella, shaped like a Christmas tree, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb prepared pizza dough (room temperature)
  • 7 mozzarella cheese sticks (cut into quarters)
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (finely chopped)
  • 3 tbsp freshly grated Parmesan

Instructions

  1. Let the pizza dough rest at room temperature for 15 minutes, then cut mozzarella sticks into 24 pieces.
  2. Roll out the dough, cut it into 24 small squares, and place a piece of mozzarella in the center of each square. Fold and roll them into balls.
  3. Arrange the dough balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet into a Christmas tree shape.
  4. Brush the tops with egg yolks and bake in a preheated oven at 390°F (190°C) for 16-18 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Remove from oven, brush with melted butter and sprinkle with parsley and Parmesan before serving warm.

Notes

Ensure dough is at room temperature and don’t overcrowd the balls to allow for proper baking. You can use whole wheat dough for a healthier option.
