Cajun Fried Corn Wingstop Style

  • 4 ears fresh corn, cut into thirds
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh chopped parsley (optional)
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Instructions

  1. Shuck the corn, remove husks and silk, and cut each ear into thirds.
  2. Pat dry the corn with a paper towel.
  3. Heat oil in a large pot or deep fryer to 350°F.
  4. Mix Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, and salt in a bowl.
  5. Add the corn pieces to the hot oil and fry for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Drain the corn on paper towels.
  7. Toss the hot corn in melted butter and Cajun spice mixture.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the corn in Cajun seasoning for a while before frying. Ensure the oil is at the correct temperature to avoid sogginess.
