A delightful vegetarian pizza that combines smoky barbecue flavors with cheesy goodness and hearty meatballs, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 prepared pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite variety – sweet, smoky, or spicy)
  • 68 vegetarian meatballs, halved or crumbled
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (or plant-based cheese if vegan)
  • 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup corn kernels (optional)
  • Fresh cilantro or parsley, for garnish
  • Olive oil, for brushing
  • Jalapeño slices (for heat)
  • Pineapple chunks (for sweet + smoky combo)
  • Crumbled feta or goat cheese (if not vegan)
  • Red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone or steel, place it in the oven while preheating.
  2. Roll or stretch the pizza dough into a 10–12 inch circle, creating a slight ridge around the edge.
  3. Place the shaped dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet or a floured pizza peel.
  4. Brush the crust lightly with olive oil.
  5. Spread the BBQ sauce evenly over the base.
  6. Sprinkle half of the cheese over the sauce.
  7. Distribute the vegetarian meatballs, red onions, and corn evenly across the pizza.
  8. Top with the remaining cheese.
  9. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  10. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with freshly chopped cilantro or parsley.
  11. Slice and serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the meatballs in additional BBQ sauce before adding to the pizza. Experiment with cheese blends for added flavor.
