Asian Inspired Ground Beef Spaghetti with Savory Sauce

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Spaghetti: Boil a large pot of salted water, add spaghetti, and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Brown the Beef: In a skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat, add ground beef, and cook until browned (5-7 minutes).
  3. Sauté Aromatics: Add garlic and ginger to the skillet, sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Prepare the Sauce: Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes; simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Combine Spaghetti and Sauce: Toss cooked spaghetti in the skillet until coated in the sauce; adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, sprinkle with green onions, and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, add lime juice before serving or include vegetables like bell peppers during sautéing.
